Video Rewind

We all have seen this clip; it's burned into our memories like the voice of our parents yelling at us. Tawny Kitaen doing a sexual gymnastic routine on the hoods of a couple of Jaguars while Whitesnake performs, "Here I Go Again" in some empty warehouse. Eventually the singer, David Coverdale and his new lady friend get into one of these pricey cars and drive off into a tunnel of love where they take part in some of the most shameless making out I've ever seen. It's been pointed out to me however that the cars get more action as she is pretty much fucking the cars!



So what then is this video about? Could this actually be the seminal video of the 1980s? It seems Ms. Kitaen is possible more excited about the material status of an expensive automobile than she is about the distinguished gentleman driving. This point can be taken further if we examine the follow up video for, "Is This Love" where the frisky couple has come to a impasse in their relationship and Tawny has had enough and is packing her bags. Why? No more car. David Coverdale and Whitesnake buddies must have sold it for more hairspray. Tawny and David seem distraught as memories of their passion flash before us. It's only at the end when Coverdale shows up and takes his girlfriend upon the hood of one these cars do they reconcile. Girls gotta' have status symbols to get off.

The strange thing though is they seem to live in the most industrialized area of town and nobody's even put a speck of dirt on that Jaguar. Maybe Mr. Whitesnake uses Mrs. Whitesnake as his buffer.
