The American League will come down to the Western Division champs, the Texas Rangers playing the Wild Card New York Yankees. Both Teams can swat the ball pretty good and both a have a killer number one starter in their pitching rotation. So I would suppose that this series may come down to everything else. Who can be more patient at the plate who's bullpen stays strong.
Will Alex Rodriguez, the recently voted most dishonest man in baseball be able to hit or refrain from some manner of cheating? Can Vladimir Guerrero's knees hold up? Will Cliff Lee continue to toy with Yankees hitters like he did in last year's World Series? Is Andy Pettite healthy?
The biggest modifier is the Yankees experience in the post season; they won it all last year and many of the players have been in the playoffs a dozen times. It's passion versus professionalism.
I'm picking the Yankees in Six.
GO CLIFF LEE!!!!
